3-2-1 To the Moon!

Alan the hamster and robot 8/12 are back. This time they are training for something far bigger: a mission to the Moon. But they are not alone. Fred and Schmitt, two space-hungry rats, are joining the team. They just need to learn how not to crash the rocket.

What follows is a thrilling and emotional journey full of teamwork, mishaps and moon dust. Everyone must prove they have what it takes to leave Earth behind.

3-2-1 To the Moon! is a story about preparation, courage and the friendships that take us further than we ever could alone.

3-2-1 To the Moon! builds on the foundations of space science, focusing on what it really takes to leave Earth’s orbit and go further. Through story, training, and teamwork, kids learn the challenges of space travel in a way that sticks.

What they’ll learn:

What it takes to go beyond orbit – the preparation, planning and risks of lunar missions
Why training matters – how astronauts and space crews learn by doing
How gravity works between planets – and why getting to the Moon is so complex
That teamwork, courage and persistence are just as important as technology

The script was developed with educators and ESA science communicators to ensure both accuracy and clarity.
